• Set-up menus, study recipes and prepare high-quality meals • Ensure that all prepared dishes are presented in an aesthetically pleasing way that is consistent with the restaurant’s brand identity • Oversee back-of-house staff to ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely manner • Delegate tasks to back-of-house staff to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant • Adapt recipes to cater for guests’ specific requests • Co-ordinate with barista and mixologist to ensure a memorable guest experience • Ensure the quality of ingredients received from suppliers • Liaise with management and suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and delivery • Work with management to continuously promote the restaurant in new and exciting ways • Ensure that kitchen equipment is well maintained
